Yeah, so I ran over a cement and rock pile last night and it appears that my radiator has been punctured. Antifreeze fluid leaked as well.

It can be fixed in a day.. and your cost will be between $150 to $200 depending upon where you live and what your local labor rates.



THe mechanic will simply install a new radiator and refill it.



Do not put this off.. if you overheat your engine it will go south on you very quickly and the bill will jump from that price to several thousand.

I have never owned a VW Beetle, but back in the 70's my cousin owned one.



Now from what I remember about them and their distinctive sound is that it was made by the air cooling system, i.e. they Do Not have a water radiator, the engine is cooled by AIR.



So the chances are that you have damageed some other part of your car, better check your brakes etc.
