How powerful is the 4cylinder version of the 2008 VW Passat?

I have a 6 cylinder, 2004 Passat, but was curious to hear how the new 4 cylinder compares. I swore I'd never buy another 4 cylinder car, again.How powerful is the 4cylinder version of the 2008 VW Passat?Your car has 190HP, and the new one has 200HP. The 2.0 engine in the Passat is also a very, very good engine- its used in the Audi TT. The new V6 is 280HP, and in its AWD form quite a quick car for the price. The base model Passat has 200 horsepower. With the manual transmission (only available in the Turbo trim) it will do 0-60 MPH in just under 7 seconds (not bad). With the automatic it does about 7.6 seconds which is still pretty good. The VR6 will get to 60 in about 6 and a half seconds and is available only as an automatic.How powerful is the 4cylinder version of the 2008 VW Passat?I have a 170 horse TDI on my brand new Passat it accelerates like the devil and is quite economical.

There are a couple of different 4 Cylinder gas engines out there with different levels of power.

There is a 3 Liter gas engine and the 3.6 Liter RS36 Passat which is a real head turner.
