Can I take my VW Beetle Cnvertible through an automatic car wash?

I just bought a VW Bug Convertible and I was wondering if it's ok to take it through an automatic car wash. I know when I worked at the car wash convertibles went through fine and for the most part a car wash attendant is going to know long before you get there if there is a problem and tell you, no one wants to damage your car, or buy a new top, so Im sure if it was a problem you would get a heads up before going through. There is also the soap thing, soap can stain your top, there are some special liquids for top care and wash it with just water and soap is not so good, whenever i did it i made sure to rinse it enough to wash all soap downCan I take my VW Beetle Cnvertible through an automatic car wash?better off taking it through the car wash with the top down to soak it good because they are known to randomly catch on fire, VW beetle that is.

I personally would never take a soft top through a car wash especially the one with rollers as it is unnecessary wear on the top.Can I take my VW Beetle Cnvertible through an automatic car wash?
Find somewhere where they'll do it by hand! or put on your shorts and do it your self! It always turns out better!
