Should I trade in my 1998 Camery for a 2002 VW Golf?

I have a 1998 Camery with 200,000 miles on it that needs work done to it. A dealer wants to sell me a used 2002 VW Golf with manuel transmission that has just over 100,000 mile on it for $4,600.
