How do i remove the front VW emblem from my bus?

It is a 1971 vw transporter, i need to remove the front emblem so i can paint. not sure how to do it without breaking it, any help?How do i remove the front VW emblem from my bus?I have about six buses get a screw driver and gently pull it offHow do i remove the front VW emblem from my bus?There are 4 pins from the emblem that go through the front body, and then there are little spring clips pressed on these pins.

From the inside, remove kick panels on both sides, and you can easily get at these spring clips.

If you have to, rotating helps loosen them.

But if you pry in the right spot, they come off easily, and are reusable.How do i remove the front VW emblem from my bus?lift the hood.. check the metal fixing... then you will know if you need to bust the thing, remove rivits and buy a replacement emblem...
