How do I disconnect the power cable for the front passenger door of a 2002 vw jetta?

I know you gonna laugh racefish. Yes I'm taking the car appart to put it back together. Was a right off. Thank you for your help.

The connector is really out of reach. The back door harness was a snap. I am tempted to cut the cable off as long as I can and soder the new wire on. Yeah racefish you think I'm nuts.How do I disconnect the power cable for the front passenger door of a 2002 vw jetta?If I remember right, you would need to take off the kick panel on the rt. side. There should be a connector under there that feeds the door. Then there's a grommet that needs to be pushed out on the body side that is a weather seal.



By the way, if you have an automatic, the transmission control module sits under the passenger side carpet. It's a good idea to take up the carpet and punch a couple of holes in the footwell to let any moisture that accumulates there out. Since the kick panel will already be off, the process is halfway done.



Actually, these cars can be really cool if you put on a body kit. Get some decent wheels, get rid of those stupid bolts and get studs so you don't throw your back out changing a tire.
