I took the car back to the Jiffy Lube that did the oil change and thye checked the fluid levels and said take it to a dealer. Why would my VW beetle suddenly start to vibrate and sound loud immediately after an oil change?on my 02 jetta i had a lifter or rod out. whenever i did the oil change it got louder. I ended up using a quart of Lucas Oil with every oil change, it was going to cost me over $2000 for the lifter and rod. I was told they do not have a way to tell which rod or lifter is out so they have to replace all. the jetta had 20 lifters at $20 a peice plus labor. Why would my VW beetle suddenly start to vibrate and sound loud immediately after an oil change?either they disturbed something or its a coincidence that the probs started after the oil change. either way it sounds like jiffy lube aren't interested, so take it to the dealer and if they say that jiffy lube are at fault try to get them to pay for it.
good luck. Why would my VW beetle suddenly start to vibrate and sound loud immediately after an oil change? They may not have secured the "floor" in the engine compartment, this would sag down on to the road surface and make the noises you state.
