Im 16 and have enough for for either a VW Jetta or a Honda Civic what would be the better buy?

I know the Honda is more reliable and the VW is safer.What other things should i consider.

If money is really an issue, I would go with the Civic only because maintenance is cheaper and easier and it's very easy to find spare parts.



The type of engine in the Jetta is important too. 2.0s are slow, but are pretty much bulletproof. VR6s are ok in terms of reliability and quicker, and 1.8Ts are almost just as quick but have many issues relating to the turbo. Almost any Honda engine will be reliable.

Does it have to be those two? Go for a Subaru. civics are for 16 year olds who dont understand what a good car is. go for something alittle better
