i suggest getting it scanned with a vag-com... you can try to go on to vwvortex.com and go to the regional section to see if anyone live around you that can do it for you... it might cost you a beer or free, depending on person...

Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. If this won't help, go to the VW dealer or a garage that has a scantool to connect to VW airbag module
