How much would it cost to replace a VW passenger window?

I broke the passenger window of my volkswagen bug. Any ideas on what it would cost to get it fixed? I actually didnt even break the glass just the track that it goes on on the inside of the windowHow much would it cost to replace a VW passenger window? You neglected to say what make and model. My expertise is on old classic bugs so , with that lead-in:

You shoudl be able to pick up window glass for all but the rear windows in an auto dismantler's yard. (Rear windows have heater elements in some models and if you want that you are better off buying a new one)

for a front passenger with its rail/base, you will pay between $20 to $40 bucks depending upon where you are and what condition the glass is in.

For a rear window you will pay a bit less unless it is the old pop out type. That might run you as much as $50 if you also take the frame.

For rear windows be sure to replace the seal as well as the glass. For the front windows, while you are in there check the scrapers and the other seals and replace them at the same time to avoid having to do a lot of the same work twice.

good luck...
