How do I take out a radio for a vw 00 jetta ?

HI does anybody known anything about taking out am\fm radios in a 00 vw jetta and how to replace it with a new one and how do i get the radio Code for the new Radio and does the face plate come off the front of the radioHow do I take out a radio for a vw 00 jetta ?You need special tool to remove the factory radio! If you don't have them it will not come out! No the face does not come off the factory radio! The new radio will come with a 4 digit pin number that will have to be logged into the radio to get it off safe mode! But for you old Radio if it goes to safe mode ! there is a serial number on the right hand side of the radio. usually starts with wvwz4,,,,, . Get this number and poss. you vin and call the dealer and they will be able to give you your radio code! But there again if you don't havr the proper tools to remove the radio you kind screwed!
