I can't get the brakes to work on my 73 VW Super Beetle. I've replaced the master cylinder and all 4 wheel cylinders and tried to bleed them -- no air comes out but there's still no pressure. If you didn't, take the master cylinder off and bleed it. You should have gotten some instruction when you bought it. Make sure that the shoes are adjusted up to the drums. The golden rule with car brakes is always work from the wheel backwards.
