Interested in purchasing a VW cabrio, but I want to avoid a year that will have lots of mechanical issues. I know it is an older car but I am trying to avoid a 'lemon year' if you will. Definitely want to go with somewhere between 98-01 (last year in production?). Any 'models' to avoid?Can someone recommend a good year VW Cabrio to purchase?I had a '98 Cabrio. Kept it for years. Absolutely loved it.
The Cab never let me or my wife down. 100% reliable.
When we were in the market for a convertible, we looked at Miata too. VW won out because of its superior safety [it comes standard with an anti-roll bar, thus protecting you in the rare event of a roll-over] and could seat 4 ppl.
I still miss the ol' Cab .....Can someone recommend a good year VW Cabrio to purchase?Haven't heard of any bad years, because the convertibles were so hand made that they were extremely good quality.
