Both heated seats on my 2001 VW Golf TDI are not working. The fuse is ok so can anyone help with a solution?

As mentioned i have checked the fuse which is fine. VW have said they would just replace the heating element at a cost of 拢400. A cheaper solution or way of finding the problem would be preferred. The fuse is ok so can anyone help with a solution?with a heated seat there aer relays check and see if it is bad it is a main power feed problem if they both do not work also check all of your fuses sometimes the fuse marked heated seat it not allways for the heated seat. good luck
